Adviser:
Michael Brent

Bio:
I am a third year PhD Student in Division of Computational & Data Sciences at WashU. I studied Computer Science and Mathematics in my undergraduate education at Beloit College, Wisconsin. Outside my research, I enjoy playing and watching soccer.

Research interests and current project:
My research mainly involves applying machine learning algorithms to map the gene regulation mechanism in humans. Recently, my work has expanded to finding specific genes and mechanisms they are involved in that lead to healthy aging in humans.

Why did you decide to pursue your PhD at WashU?
WashU provides unique opportunities to apply computational methods in the domain of my interest. At WashU, I am not only learning machine learning but building an in depth knowledge understanding of human biology.
